Basics of ServerPilot How it works? ServerPilot is in simple terms a cloud service. It is mainly used for hosting WordPress and other PHP websites on servers at DigitalOcean, Linode, Rackspace, or could be anywhere else too. You could consider it as a modern, centralized hosting control panel. You must take note that ServerPilot does not provide servers. Instead, they make it easy to host PHP sites on your own servers. These servers could be cloud servers, VPSes, or dedicated servers at any provider. How to use it? Once you have created your ServerPilot account, your first step would be able to connect a server to ServerPilot. You will start with a completely fresh Ubuntu server. If you have already installed Apache, Nginx, PHP, or MySQL, then you would not  be able to connect your server to ServerPilot. On completion of a simple and secure form, the ServerPilot agent is installed on your server. The agent keeps a secure connection open to ServerPilot, does the actual management of your server. It also sends back stats and logs. You would then use ServerPilot to create a new app for each website you want to host on your server. For each app you have to create, ServerPilot that would handle all of the server reconfiguration. You need not do any configuration of Nginx, Apache, MySQL, or PHP. In fact you can just use the built-in WordPress installer or SSH/SFTP to upload your site's files to your server. What ServerPilot Does?
